The Netherlands Is One of the Most Practical Moves a Nigerian Student Can Make Right Now

People talk about Europe like it is a fantasy. The Netherlands is the opposite of a fantasy. It is structured, documented, and proven. The universities work with you on the visa. The government has laid out a clear citizenship timeline. The minimum wage means your part-time hours pay real bills. Study gap of up to five years is accepted. Third class degrees are considered at certain universities. WAEC is accepted. NECO is accepted. And our visa approval rate across all our clients sits at 99%.

This is not a country where you hope things work out. This is a country where you plan, prepare, and watch things work out exactly as expected. That is what we have built our entire service around.

Everything You Have Been Wondering About

These are the real questions Nigerian students ask before making their decision. We have answered every one of them honestly.

Is IELTS compulsory for Netherlands?
Yes, IELTS is compulsory. Beyond IELTS, some universities also accept Pearson PTE Academic, LanguageCert, TOEFL, and Cambridge English qualifications. Your IELTS score must be valid within the last two years, with a minimum of 6 overall and in each section.

Are there scholarships available?
General scholarships are not widely available for international students in the Netherlands. However, some universities offer partial scholarships of around €5,000 for highly competitive applicants. These require a CV, cover letter, and at least a first class degree. We will let you know if your profile qualifies.

Can I come with a third class degree?
Yes, at certain universities. Not every institution in the Netherlands requires a high-grade degree. We assess your profile and match you to the universities where your qualification is accepted.

Is there a study gap limit?
The maximum accepted study gap is five years. If your gap is within this range, you can still apply and we will advise you on how to present it properly in your application.

Is HND accepted for a Masters degree?
No. If you have an HND, you would need to apply for a Bachelor's degree program rather than a Master's. The Dutch university system does not recognise HND as equivalent to a full bachelor's qualification for postgraduate entry.
